It's everything that was promised

These five words are what every developer and builder longs to hear from an apartment purchaser on completion of a project.

The complimentary phrase was among the praise given by Rose Franco, one of the residents in Tresor, the latest masterpiece from HELM.

“Thank you for delivering such a beautiful home,” said Rose. “I’d also like to compliment HELM on its fantastic staff, including all the tradies on site who were always polite and well mannered.

“I have no hesitation in recommending HELM. You’re all legends.”

Fellow Tresor owners, Cheryl and Joe, acknowledged that buying a property off-the-plan could be daunting. “So we wish to give a big thumbs up to HELM and their service team who assisted the settlement,” they said. “At HELM, quality is curated in fine detail.”

……. An escape from the maintenance chores of a house…..is one of the many benefits espoused by owners of HELM’s luxury apartments.

“Having to downsize from my five-bedroom family home of 49 years into an apartment because I’m now on my own filled me with trepidation. I looked at several apartment developments and was not impressed. Then I saw what HELM was offering and it was like: ‘Wow, what a difference’. My apartment in Laurier is wonderful in every way; spacious with plenty of light, quiet and beautifully finished. It’s lovely. I’m so happy I put my faith in HELM, and I congratulate them.”

Andrew Vassalios, Laurier purchaser.

"Having decided to downsize we found an off-the-plan apartment we thought would be suitable. However, when it was completed we realised it wasn’t the location we wanted to live in, so we on-sold it. That’s when we were lucky enough to discover the HELM difference. Laurier is a boutique building in an energising location where residents are owners, not tenants, so there is great pride in maintaining standards. Our apartment is fantastic and the HELM team are extremely professional.” John and Donna Watts, Laurier purchasers.

HELM have been a wonderful company with which to deal. They have great staff who promote HELM’s commitment to serving their customers so well. HELM’s great reputation is fully deserved and we thank you”

Susanne & Anthony Wadey, Laurier purchasers.

Downsizing! It's a big step but well worth the journey

A chance meeting in a coffee shop was the final clincher for Louise and Brian Robertson as they weighed up a decision to purchase a HELM apartment.

The couple had been inspecting two of HELM's completed developments, when they struck up a conversation with some fellow diners who happened to be apartment residents.

“We received such glowing recommendations from them about HELM that it was the positive reinforcement we needed to take the plunge into apartment living,” said Brian, now retired after a distinguished business career in both private and public sectors.

The Robertson’s had lived in their large family home on a sizeable block for 38 years, raising four children. One by one the children found partners and moved out to start their own families, leaving a lot of empty rooms and plenty of unwanted household chores.

“We decided to sell our home and move to our holiday cottage at Shellharbour as we pondered our next move,” said Louise, who still teaches primary school on a part-time basis. “This gave us time to do our research, as well as helping us get used to living in a smaller space.”

Like most Empty Nesters, the Robertson's were wary of ending up in a box-like apartment.

“We didn’t want to feel enclosed,” said Brian. “We had been used to freedom so everything was pointing to HELM’s development as being the most suitable option for our next stage of life.

The Robertsons’ three-bedroom, first-floor apartment faces due north and gains ideal solar access. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to bathe the spacious interiors in a glorious glow, while full-height, commercial grade, sliding glass doors provide a seamless transition onto a private balcony.

“This outdoor area is perfect for entertaining, and the overhangs give us extra shade and shelter,” said Louise.

“We’ve sat out on our balcony during a storm without getting wet.”

“Our apartment is exactly as HELM promised.  The finishes are wonderful and the acoustics are great. It’s whisper quiet. We are delighted to be in our apartment,  as it has certainly met all our expectations, and beyond,” the couple said.

“Everyone who has visited our apartment has been impressed, and the quality and layout has even convinced several of our friends to seriously consider downsizing.”

CHANGING LIFESTYLES – WHEN A CHANGE CAN BE EVEN BETTER THAN A HOLIDAY

There’s no doubt that real estate is an excellent form of long-term investment, yet the main reason people move from one property to another isn’t to make money. Moving has more to do with the changing needs and aspirations of people and families, whether it’s outgrowing a dwelling or the opposite, trading up or scaling down.

The fastest growing group in the community are ‘empty nesters’, so called because their children have grown up and left the ‘nest’. These 50 to 80 year olds now account for more than one-quarter of Sydney’s population.

Understandably they want to leave behind the obligation and worry of a house and large garden for a way of life that frees them of maintenance chores, assures a quality lifestyle, and is secure. Being of the ‘baby boom’ generation, a high proportion have the resources to buy prime apartments in a beautiful location.

Phi at Cremorne is exactly that, and has been specifically designed for owner occupiers to bridge the gap between a family home and an apartment, by the Multi Award winning team of HELM, winner of the Finest Medium Density Development in Australia in 2015, 2017 and 2020.

Taking its name from the ancient Greek word for “perfect balance and harmony”, Phi will have just 12 luxurious apartments that encapsulate the essence of easy living, with no compromises taken and nothing left to chance. An added bonus of living at Phi, is the proximity to Cremorne Village, which is just 50 metres away.

“Our purchasers are owner occupiers, and are used to having space; as such our apartments are far larger than industry standard and have a variety of individual floorplans, including separate studies, home theatre rooms and copious amounts of storage, which ensures the transition from a large family home is manageable.

"Purchasers in our previous projects have been impressed that we create spacious home-style living on a single level, with large rooms, high ceilings, expansive windows and sophisticated acoustic systems to ensure whisper quiet interiors, as well as the quality of inclusions. Pet owners will be delighted as Phi is pet friendly, along with the fact that ground floor apartments have large areas up to 200m2 on title for their pets to enjoy”, said Mark Monk, Director and CEO of HELM.

HELM has an enviable record in the development and construction industry, particularly on the Lower North Shore. Esque in Glover Street, Mosman, Laurier in Parraween Street, Cremorne, and Muse in Rangers Road, Neutral Bay were each judged to be the finest Medium-Density Development in Australia in 2015, 2017 and 2020 respectively by the UDIA and/or the Urban Taskforce of Australia.

The UDIA judges were lavish in their praise for Muse. “A benchmark for all other developers to follow”. These latest awards bring to 27 the number of honours HELM has won over the past eight years, which is three times more than any other Medium Density Developer in Australia.
